So i got another fbody. an 88 firebird to go with my 89 iroc.

Is fairly clean. was originaly 305 tbi 5 speed. now it has a 350 010 block. and still has the 5 speed. OHH and 10 bolt with posi. 3.07 is was i got 40 teeth on the ring. and 13 teeth on the pinion

I got it about a week ago i only drove it 3 times now its at school in the shop. Smile

new carb, filter, rear diff fluid, tranny is currently benched right now and taken apart (waiting on a Rev-5th fork/internal shifter.)

beleave it or not it was broken in half on the bottom of the tranny.(i messed with the bolt(thinking it was a fill) but i couldnt get it out so i gave u and dropepd her down and didnt have 5th or rev. so i was like shizzle i popped the clip.

got the tranny apart and the whole fork/arm was snapped in 2 the lower peice just at the bottom and the top still clipped in?? lol

Must have had a crack in it or it was just weak.

so im doing the output seal and throw out while its out.

next is a tune up and front main relacement.

outside looks great. realy nice car you have there. you are not looking for some factory 15" firebird wheels for it are you? i would let the set i have now go real cheap once i put the formula wheels on. would make it look more factory if thats what you are going for. if not there is nothing wrong with the wheels you have now.

thanks, my goals are just right now to get it back together and get the basics out of the way. then i have a 350 block in my garage im thinking of setting up for it. but then ill have to rebuild the t5 with stonger parts which is 1g

but other then that im really just going for a really clean daily driver.

im going to sell my iroc and get one that has t-tops 5.7(it kills me that mine dosent have t-tops)

im really really looking for 16x8 trans am black crosslaces. but i really also hate the wheels it has on it now. so if the price is right and i like them more then what i have then possible.

and do they come with tires? what size and how mcuh tread?

they are actualy still on my car. i was going to keep themuntil i wore the tires down and then get some rubber for my formula wheels. it might be a few months. if you are looking for crosslaces i would just hold out for those. i would probably get rid of mine without tires for 100$. i know that seems a bit high for factory 15"s. but these are realy shiney. i'll email you a picture or three...

PS, the wheels you have now do indeed suck, crosslaces would make that car.

yeah, i think you should hold off too. crosslaces are a bit tougher to find at a good price. you either ahve to pay top dollar or settle with wheels that have a little damage.

yea year its like 800 bucks for a fully refinished set of 4 off of that 3rd gen used and new parts site(i cant remember the name)

i wouldnt mind paying that as they would be mint contion. but they havent emailed me back if they have the black ones or not.

they are missing out on 800 bucks Smile

anyways today i straigtened out my pinch welds a big got the fenders to bow in a little better looks alot better actually. i just need new fenders in general.
