One of them should be it.
If it's not up by the booster check along the fender. |

Definetly sounds like the relay.
Where did you put the relays then if they are no longer on the bracket? |

uhm... they just kind of sit there in the fender. and since i have done that this is the second one to fail. i am thinking there is somthing to that bracket. i may have to relocate my ultracoil and replace the bracket. |

That may have something to do with moisture. That bracket holds the relays upright so what little moisture gets to them doesn't interfere with the connections. _________________ 92 Camaro

When you change the relay out, make sure that the wire terminals don't push down into the connector. I have had problems twice with bad connections in the fuel pump and maf relay sockets.
I recently had a SES light for a low fuel pump voltage. Did some checking and found out that when I installed the relay, the wire terminal had pushed back down in the socket barely making a connection. After awhile it apparently worked it's way further out causing a bad connection and low voltage. I checked the voltage to the pump before pushing the terminal back up into the harness plug, and then after. Went from 11 volts to 13.7 with the engine running. And, last week I had a code 33 MAF high code. Same thing, pushed the wires back up into the connector and problem solved.
There is a lot of play in the plug where the terminals go. Easy enough to push them all up and check to see that they are all pushed completely in. |

| did you check you pressure switch? all its doing is recirculating the fuel with the key on the off position right? you should disconect the relay and check the voltage on the connector and to see which one has power and which one is the switchable power. perhahaps a short it the wire harness as it comes though the firewall. this is kinda odd unless someone improperly installed a capacitor or did some wiring to the ignition switch itself. |

Unplug the oil pressure switch.
Fuel Pump Relay Wires:
Ore = Relay Power
Tan = Power to Pump (Relay On)
Green = ECM Signal
BLK = Ground
Fuel Pump Switch:
Ore=Power
Tan=Power to Pump/MAF relay |
