This might be a good way to go:

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?Ntt=Comp+Roller+Cam&N=700+4294908216+4294908198+4294840138+4294925005+4294887637+4294887636+4294791986+115+4294838654&Ntk=KeywordSearch

You'd still have to do some chip tuning though, but its a fairly mild grind.

Dewey 316 has an older Ultradine grind. I'm not sure if Lunati is making an equilvilant now, but you might ask him about the specs.

My cam is 206/216 .447 .447 112/106

The LO3 cam is a JOKE. The specs are something pathetic like 172/178. I think it is the smallest cam to be put in a production small block, lol.

an LT1 or L98 cam is a nice upgrade, and much cheaper than than getting an aftermarket cam.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you change the cam in these motors, you must do a customer computer tune. it will never run right without doing the work to tune it. TBI's are a speed density setup, so the computers configuration is very important to get it to run right. If you aren't willing to put in the time to learn how to tune it, don't mess with the cam.

you can probably find an LT1 cam fairly cheap on like Ebay or something.

Maybe one of the crewbies might have an extra one sitting around?

Might think about getting a chip burning program like Burn1 or Moats or something.

I've never had to mess with chip tuning, so I'm afraid I can't help much.

Read the DIY prom board on TGO. If you can swing the money, RBob's EBL is the way to go. You just need the EBL board, and a laptop.

TGO has tons of info, but you'll have to search for it. Moates.net sells burners and chips.

*Edit: Laughing got ninja'd.

New kind of tune job? Is that a stage 2 custom tune?

Does that mean I have plenty of takers when I put a new cam in my LT1?

No, there isn't one you can buy. You'll need to make something. the dynamicefi stuff is really sweet, for around $400, it will do any tuning you can ever dream of!

Where are you located at? If you are willing to learn, and put in the time, there are several of us who have tuned cars, we can sure help you out, but we aren't a tuning service, you'll have to put in time and effort, but we can show you how to do it.

I'm in Gresham. If you do it, it wouldn't be too big of an issue to figure out how to get you going.

I picked up almost a full second on my car, with just tuning the computer when the motor was still stock.
