Two cats and I failed this time. Even dropped the timing down 4º and set the AFR to 15.0

It seems as though the "miss" problem at steady state cruise is screwing me.

I put new plugs on at cows.
Followed by new wires afterward.

Still, mostly dominant in lower gears, you can feel a jerkyness miss. Felt more than heard. In higher gears you don't seem to feel it as much but the vacuum is lower there too.

IIRC last year I had a similar problem and it turned out to be distributor cap/rotor. Only gave a miss at light cruise.

Guess I'll give that a try and lean out the cruise spot some more.

On a positive note, I have the emissions of a geo at idle!

HC Cruise = 185
Limit = 150

HC Idle = 52
Limit = 220

CO Cruise = .62
Limit = 1

CO Idle = .01
Limit = 1.2

And my fuel pump came, but I can't very well do anything with it eh.

That may be! I'd still like to eliminate this miss though!

John, I'm houssitting for the G/F's family this weekend. I might be able to pitch in a hand for a few hours Saturday. You're only about a mile from where I'll be at.

just an idea maybe if you can use some ones old 2.73 rear just for the test so your cruise is at a lower rpm.

hehehe

John I'm working until 3(could squeek out at 230.)

I can give you a call when I get off.

EDIT: Just remembered I have some goofy house warming thing to go to with brandy and my parents tomorrow evening. I'll let you know if we don't end up going or something! Sorry!

I'd be glad to help. I can pick up that cat too. Probably gonna need it. 185 over 150 isn't that far off. Maybe if i figured out what cyl is missing I can just unplug that injector lol.

As for the lower geared rear.... that might cause adverse effects. As it stands the cruise part was conducted in 3rd gear at 25mph. That was 1650RPM. In all reality I'd prefer it to be a higher rpm due to the cam.
