I spent a couple of hours on the park lights of the 89 today. Removed the housings, cleaned the lenses, rinsed out the insides. Before I put them back in, I cut a notch in the bumper to line up with the vent hole in the light. Now the vent isn't blocked off any more to collect the moisture and dirt. They're not perfect, but look much better and will do until either I replace them or upgrade my headlights and use the clear ones I have lying around Laughing

What they looked like when I bought the car last August...

I'm gonna need to do that myself pretty soon. Any special cleaners to use on them, or just water and a rag?

I used Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish and Clear Plastic Cleaner for the outside. Could have done some wet sanding too, there are some pits in the lenses yet, but it looks so much better than before.

How'd you get the inside so darn clean? Mine look super nasty like that

Actually, they're not that clean on the inside. All I could do was to rinse them out with high pressure water from the garden hose and shake them out. There are still small bits of stuff in them between the diffuser and the lens.

How did you get the front lense off? I've done this before but I had to cut it.

I made some clears from my stock ones. The front lense does not come off easy.. in fact, I dont recommend taking the front lense off.

Guess I need to post pics of mine now that I opened the can o worms huh?

I like that, I may have to do it at some point. Or maybe I'll get the diamond cut ones like Al had at one point. First is the HID stuff. Freakin true bi-xenon projectors are bloody expensive.
