Well here are a few pictures. I was thwarted by some bad information.

Turns out if you want to run the 12" C4 brakes you use your factory rotor as a hub, machined down.

If you are going to run the 13" C4 HD setup you need 1LE rotors machined down as hubs.

Cripes, Rodney and I prepped the stockers.

So the car sits on jack stands up in the air with the front suspension fully dissassembled. Another crunch time piece as new hubs should be here Thursday the 24th. Let's just hope they are what I actually need!

Let's also hope the fit factory spindles..... oi vey.
Chris and I did hit the JY and grabbed a spare spindle (I only modified one so far just incase)... so worst case I can put it all back together stock and get to Cows.

Last year when I lowered the car I tore the boot on the driver's side ball joint so I replaced the joint. Just because it's apart again, I replaced the passenger side. Also noticed that the end links for the sway bar have stock hardware, but ES rubber. One of the nuts was stripped so I picked up some brand new ES kits. (In red of course!)

Just an FYI with stock brakes. Went and did some 60-0 testing. Stopped fine the first 5 stops. By the 7th stop distance was increased atleast 20ft. By the 9th stop my brakes were smoking. You can see in the picture, the caliper used to be ALL red... not blade fading into red.

Why do you have to use the 1le rotors? What's different about the larger outer bearing?

Hopefully it'll all come together! I love big brakes.

I have a picture but it's not a good quality. The 1LE Rotor/Hub wheel mounting flange sits up about .350" higher than the stock rotor/hub.

Thus, the rotor sits too close to the spindle/carrier bracket with the stocker. The carrier can't even fit between the rotor and bracket.

The 1LE uses a larger outer bearing. Think it uses the same inner though, not 100% at this point. Ed Miller is saying it uses the same outer vs inner but AndyZ28 cd says just the outer changes.

From all my catalogs at work the only difference is the outer bearing, that's why I asked.

Weird. So that hub actually pushes out your track width?

Yup. It's going to be crazy. The rotor is like 3/16thick plus another almost 3/8" from the hubs. So that's like 9/16 farther out on both sides over stock.

Good thing I have "Front" wheels in the back :O)

I'll be one widetrack maro mofo!

Did 1LE cars get diffrent wheels? That is going to change your scrub radius, which will change the steering feel.

I'm noticing, and ian would know more, that all the 90+ cars with the salad shooters seem to read as 1LE rotors. Atleast that's what I'm getting from napa and autozone's online sites. In terms of bearing size. I haven't even seen an "option" for 1LE.

My scrub radius? LOL how is it going to feel different? Good or bad being wider?
