Pulled it last night,
10 lobes have trenches in them from the roller lifters.
hummm, I wonder what the heck caused that?
Cam walk?????
Maybe it was a good thing we had a little fire ? so we could pull the engine.... |

Yeah shoot the pics.
Rollers have less friction so unless your lifter rolls don't spin, or you have a serious lack of oil down there problem..... I have no idea man.
Those are the only two things I could think of.
What springs are you running on the heads? Might be possible they are too weak and allow the valve to float off and smack it alot. Guess that might cause it but still. |

| could it be the springs aren't too weak, but too strong and just causing them to add excess pressure? |

For a roller cam you gotta have some SERIOUS pressure. Again it's designed to have less friction with the given lubrication. Roller's sometimes have inherently heavier springs because the lifters are alot heavier and ramps are steeper. |

could be more pressure with lack of lubrication causing it too, even if its made to be less resistant over all, less lube is still going to cause a problem
you know more about it than I do though, i'm just tossing out an idea |
