whats up guys?
I am trying to see who all is around everett. I got stationed here about a yr ago, and dont know too many ppl outside of base.
I was hoping to see if there was a group together in the close area to hang out, work on the cars, help each other with misc projects, bbqs, etc.
I have a three day weekend next weekend, anyone else have any plans?
i have a maroon 87 iroc. If you come from the north, using 529 (trusses) it turns into broadway. My iroc sat on broadway for 4 months with no driver side window. The old owner abandoned it. Im amazed at how many people ask me if this was the car.
Anyways i also drive a black 98 explorer lifted with bigger tires.

Welcome,

We have a few folks from up that direction. A few in the south sound area also. Hopefully they will pop in and say hi.

HEY! A fellow Everett guy! My name is Jake, I'm a college student that lives in Seattle at UW during the school year, but my parents live in Everett and so do I during summer. Not sure if i saw that car or not, but I have seen most Camaros in the area.

Welcome to the Crew USA We will definitely have to get together to work on projects this summer. Tell us more about yourself and your car.

~JAKE

hey Newbie welcome to the crew!

If you are talking about next weekend (13, 14, 15 ) there is a huge swap meet here in Portland, Oregon. It is one of the largest on the west coast. Anyway, if you are looking for something to do and want to meet a few of us several are planning to be there on Saturday.

Watch the gatherings board for other events that come up. Another option is to call a gathering yourself. We haven't seen too many lately but we used to see mini-gatherings fairly frequently. This is where you would set up a date and time to meet for dinner/lunch as an example and others in your area can get together. Just post it up on the gathering board if you want to get together. We have several larger gatherings each year where people from all over the northwest come together to hang out, cruise, etc etc.

Have fun and jump right in.

-Schultzy

welcome to the club!!! I am in North Seattle. While most of the club seems to be down in Portland, there are a bunch of guys hidden in the woodworks up here. Last summer we had a few gatherings up here, planning on doing more this year.

Welcome aboard, great to see you made it over here from TGO. I commute from Bremerton and work not far from Everett (Bothell). Like Schultzy said, jump right in and have fun. The Portland Swap Meet mentioned above is 13, 14, 15 Apr. http://www.portlandswapmeet.com/ I plan to attend, I have Friday off if only for a dental appointment, but it's a day off anyway.

hey guys,
thanks for the replies.
About me, i am about to be 21 i have a wife, rachel, and a 6mnth old daughter, averie. I also have two pitbulls, jake and bella. We just bought our first house, so i am on a small budget.
My current occupation is an electronics technician in the navy, anyone needing any electrical help, let me know. I am on my way to being a 2M tech, but i mostly deal with information systems maintenance as well as maintain radars. On the side, at work, i am a member of VBSS, vessel boarding search & seizure. Lots of fun.

My car is an 87 iroc, maroon in color. It has the standard 350, with a holley tb, cold air intake, exhaust, stage 2 hypertech chip, and a b&m shift kit and slap shift.
My problems are many. I used to work on the car for a friend before he sold it to buy a new car. He sold it to another guy on my boat who trashed this gem. he had no idea what this car was, only pedal to the floor=fast. I came into the picture when this guy owed me a couple hundred bucks and i said let me have your car. He said great, its parked on broadway waiting for someone to take it. I rushed to the car that afternoon and towed it home.
As for the damage, i guess he lost control and slid in to something in the rear, minor damage, but enough to notice. I do not have a pass side tail light, or a driver side window. I also do not have third or fourth gear.

My plans for this car are typical. I plan on a complete restoration.
383w/ 300shot of nos
painted black (like my civic and explorer)
18"/19" chrome iroc rims
I havent made my mind up on the hood yet
ford 9" rear
quasi backhalved/mini tub
and a full roll cage
4th gen buckets
updated dash
no rear seats

I picked that engine because it is capable of 500ish horse on motor (intown drivability/fun!) with the option to haul a$$ on the strip (ie 300 shot)

here is a pic of my explorer:

My prior 1970 C10 had that engine, but not setup for nos.
Long story short it was stolen while in bootcamp and never recovered.
here is a picture after it was stolen, without my 20s, before being registered abandoned and scrapped by the homeowner of the home rented by the thief, i know who he is, just cant find him.

Well i hope you enhoyed my saga, i am not new to forums so i will nto be a stranger!

we may get along real well this summer Razz I love doing body work and HATE electrical work. I need my engine rewired (used to be fuel injected, but is now carbourated.) As for my abilities with body work, take a look at my restoration page on my cardomain site Cool

Welcome to the crew!

you like body work Chris?... i have a fender on the v6 car that could use some attention Very Happy

welcome to the crew man, glad to see you made it over from "the new Pacific Northwest Regional Board". i sent a bunch of you guys PMs. we have a few more members that post on a monthly basis up in that area, so give it some time and more should sound off.

i myself am in Hillsboro, it's about 20 miles west of Portland Oregon, but love making the long drive up Washington to go to gatherings. i am just crazy enough to spend 49$ on gas to go have dinner and BS for 3 hrs only to turn right around and drive back Very Happy

enjoying doing it and doing it well are two different things.

I didn't find it to be too tedious or horrible pulling that big smack out of the rear quarter on the 85 Z/28 I used to have, granted it didn't look professional and still had some ripple in it, but it was a chance to practice.

Bellingham reporting!

Other than the canadian members, I think I'm the furthest north. wwscc.org has Autocrosses at Paine Field every so often, you'll have to join me for one! I race my V6 car any time there is a close event.

Welcome to Cascade!
