Ok so i noticed that i need a new belt really badly as john and ian pointed out to me at the dyno. I just cant remember what length to get it. I have smog deleted it and have underdrives. I also have a/c delete but that doesn't matter. Any help would be awesome. Thanks -Tim

The way that I had mine routed, and that Ian had his routed, we used a 96.5"

I don't know what length you need the way you have it routed.

The length should be printed on your old belt if it hasn't worn off. There is a part number with letters and numbers. The length of the belt is usually shown in 'mm' units so it will be in the thousands.

If that doesn't work then remove the belt and take it with you to the parts store. Get a new one slightly shorter. Don't worry about being too exacting. The tensioner pulley can handle a variety of lengths within reason.

when i took my smog pump off, i had a tough time finding one.
each brand makes them a little different.
a NAPA belt can be different than a Gatorback belt.
whatever you use, when you get it right...stick with it.

ex. i had to change mine from a napa belt a while back.
i went to Autozone to grab one (using the napa size and numbers, and grab some other stuff) and the new one didn't fit right.
i had to try several different lengths with different brands to find the right one.

Place a piece of string in the belt routing and pull snug. Move the tensioner to the highest tension position. Mark the string and measure the length. This is a close approximation of your belt length. It will get you close without having to hunt a bunch of times.

It'd be easier to use the belt that's on there.

Are there still any numbers on the old one? Do you remember brand at all?

And just an FYI, when you go smaller, you can usually go in larger increments than you think because of the belt being measured in overall lenght, not just stretched out straight.

If you route it the same I'd try one that's about 4 inches shorter.
