anybody know if there's a way for the stereo controls on the steering wheel to be used with an aftermarket stereo on a 3rd gen?
the car's an '89 by the way.

i did it on my '00 trans am, well actually someone else did. i had to make sure the new stereo had a remote. they hooked up some infra red sensor and kinda made the steering wheel into a remote control.

I know that they used to make the same sort of deal for the thirdgens, that is a remote control that connects up and you can program the functions.

It has been a long time since I looked into it but the info was on tgo.
