So, I'm gauging interest in the front brake setup off a zo6. It'd have everything but hubs and brackets. The fancy red calipers, 13" rotors, almost brand new raybestos ceramic pads, clips, and abutment brackets.

Anyone interested for when I take these off my car?

You need adaptors I think. Look on frrax lots of guys have done the C5 upgrade. I think there is someone on frrax that even sells the brackets.

They were doing a GP on them not long ago, you still may be able to get in on it. IIRC LG-Motorsports also makes them.

I'd assume different calipers, but I doubt they differ in anything but mounting and design. Still just a dual piston thing.

Are you wanting the just the calipers? I'd kind of like to get rid of it all together.

It's faster than yours, right? Very Happy

I'm not dumping any more money into this old sbc, or any gen I for that matter. Piecing together LSx crap. Although I can never have only one project going at a time.

Bigger brakes and ABS are on the agenda for now though.

Embarassed

Yes, but right now a high mileage Volkswagen Bus is faster than it.

If the motor does have bottom end problems, it might be a few Months before any progress is made on it.

It'd be awesome to see someone in the crew with a Gen III or Gen IV small block in there car.

keep us posted.

Speaking of vdubs, there's a guy that comes into my work that's a porsche fanatic. He's got a bunch of old 914s, 924s, 928s and a vanagon camper special (ya know, with sink, stove, bed, etc,) with a 2.7 carrera engine in it. Fricken awesome sleeper!

You mean the wheels? Not the 17s but I'm running four rears right now; all 18's

But I might be picking up a set of staggered (18/19) c6 gunmetal 5 spokes for cheap.

I've come across so many vette wheels lately. I'm holding a set of c5 ZO6 wheels for John (RSfreak), the wagons on the car, the c6's. Damn.
