So I got my new in box Comp 986 springs. Only problem is that they are not 986 springs. They are new and they did come in a Comp box that once was used for shipping someone 986 springs. Bought them off Ebay, took a gamble to save a few bucks and got bit in the ass. Still going to dyno though, I went through and shimmed the old springs, they were all 1.900" + installed height and I now have a .060" shim under each of them. Might be enough to get 6000 rpm out of it. We'll see, at least I have all new valve seals in it now.
Any body got room for a Hammer and his better half? Only really crappy weather will stop us from coming up, but I won't know about that till next week. |

Did you pop the Z28 springs in, or just shim the old springs?
Time for some negative feedback baby!

I shimmed the old springs. Just not nuts about running those little diameter springs in the big pockets. Thanks for the housing offer, Prolly take you up on that or just die were ever the masses wind up. |
