Ya wasn't necessarily calling him out or trying to be a dick (although I do have awesome natural talent there!). I was curious at the apparent discrepancy. Hell, I posted up a 14.2 at 116 MPH!
I was more curious about the combos to get those MPH in the 1/4. Seeing all of the different combos, what works, the hp and torque curves, etc. has been a big part of the fun here.
It's all good.
Wow - Christmas gift from the Cascade Crew Admins - the board is hopping again!

Camel humps were awesome for their day! |
the FI heads on 327's were my favorite double humps. Small, tight chambers, big valves, spring pressures strong enough to handle .480-.520 lift. Kind of impressive for the time. Those or the DZ302/LT1 castings I think they were the exact same heads but I'm not 100%. I think both were the same xxxx461 cast head.
**LB985IROC---Shultzy makes a good point....(tail between legs) I also wasn't trying to say you were BS-ing, its just I'd never heard of those kinds of trap times at the MPH you listed either. But for a while Shultz was the whipping boy for his trap time with his car. But that's since been remidied.
Besides, your LT1 even with a horrible tune would own what I've got right now. _________________

yea well i am sorry about the weird times i was pretty much guessing what they had been and ive raced so many of my cars i get it all mixed up and the mph thing was really a guess i always remember the time but not the mph so i took a not so educated guess on it.....my bad...im the retard of the moment....lol yea well i still in the 2 weeks ive had it havent had the balls to just romp this car mainly cuz its been wet everyday and im not totally familiar with this car yet, dont want to destroy one of my precious ZO6 wheels lol....and im not quite sure how effective the traction control is being the first year they used it on the camaro..... lol you might beat me just from knowing your car better _________________ Cadillac of Bellevue

I think your Traction control is essencially a "spark limiter" or it cuts fuel to certain injectors. _________________

If it's the same type of traction control as on the LT1 vette's, then all it does is retard the timing and drop cylinders intermitantly. Unless you really cant handle the tail end, I'd see no reason to keep it on. |

Bringing this back on topic,
So far, this is the list....
Dewey316
Xophertony x2
Iansane
Al Hasse x2
Twilightoptics
Izcain -- ???? Questionable?
LB985IROC
Blue89 (last post, looked like you were also a maybe?)
scott in wa -- Maybe?
Schultzy and Rodney both look like maybes, I assume Rodney is weather dependant, and Mike is MAF dependat.
Does that all sound right, so we are at 8 for sures, 2 maybe's, and maybe up to 12 cars.
We are getting pretty close, I would be interested to know what kind of numbers we are looking at. If I open up an invite to other groups, I would like to know how much room we have.

I don't need no stinking MAF. Parts are on the way. I will say that I am going to dyno. It will be cutting it close to get things installed and somewhat tuned prior to the dyno but we'll give it a try.
No way will I be able to get it all done and schedule some hours of dyno tuning so I'll just do the three pulls and see if we managed to get as much power as the last time.

I guess I am still 'iffy'. I just found out that my commander 950 will not ship from Holley until January 10.
