....is still broke, doesnt look like it will be making an apperance at the gathering this weekend. still up on jackstands, last weekend the broken flexplate came out and new one went in and the tranny was put back in place. but, whats left is for all the bolts to go back in, all the linkage, electrical connections and other lines to be hooked back up

also, starter needs to go back, drive shaft, and then put in the new injectors, reprogram the computer, and check for any vacuum leaks.

fun huh? Yup yup

Do they sell those as a replacement item anywhere, or is it an eBay/boneyard item?

Dealer/JY only. I called every single parts warehouse I could. Most of the wholesale places as well. It's not even a part that ACdelco makes for GM dealerships like most other parts. GM's got it. And luckily, a stealership in tacoma here (gilcrest) had one.

I hate sporatic schedules.

The TV may be the only real hassle. Electical connections will take you 5 minutes, starter will take you 15. Bolts (Depending on which bolts) should be simple (there aren't that many). Linkage is simple. The injectors you have function (if I recall correctly), although they need replacement (as you know, I have that part down to a science). Everything you listed there, minus the injectors, is like 3 hours of work and pretty simple, even for a auto-mech newbie! Make it happen! Smile

We can't have you and Ian both flake on your own damn gathering.

I have one but mine's for a carburated car....... I think it actually mounts in the same way.....but I'll have to get back to you on that. I probably won't ever use it....so if you want I can pull it and give it to someone going up to seattle and you can test it out. If it doesn't work you can chuck it in the garbage.

Hey, maybe some of the other guys could show up to your place saturday morning and help you get it running. Should be totally possible to get you going in time for lunch.
