Looking for a 9 bolt rear end, 3 series carrier, good shape with disc brake backing plates.
Cheers!

Nope!
Don't think I am going to drop the kind of coin necessary for a good 12 bolt or 9 inch anytime soon. Figure I'll get another 9 bolt, drop a set of 3.73's in it, beat the crud out of it. If it holds then we will know what they can take and I won't be taking crap from the blue crowd. If not, I'll still make the Sunday cruise
Actually if I break it I could be back on the road in a few hours so who cares. Kind of an insurance policy.
Let me know if you get any leads.
Thanks,
-Schultzy |

Can't you only use that years 9bolt? Last year of the 9bolt and first year of the PBR discs? _________________

Was '89 the last year for 9 bolt? If so I bet you are right. Good call Ian.

| you can get those backingplates for the 9 bolt for less then 30 shipped from ebmiller on TGO. brand new. so you can use any 9bolt. the 10 bolt PBR backing plates are still available at the stealership. 15.00 each. if you feel up to the task you can always take some 10 bolt plates and drill holes in them for the 9bolt. there is a template on TGO i could find for you. thats how ed miller makes them. |

He's been pretty busy for weeks now then. I've PM'd him a couple times and emailed him asking about buying the c5 adapter brackets and I get no response. |

9 bolt from an '89. Gears are at least 3.70 but less than 4 - look to be brand new. Picked up the entire rear end, including PBR brakes, in Eatonville yesterday. Think I will still pick up a T/A performance cover for it. Every little bit helps.

I think I got a fair deal. I hope to make a little back on the PBR brake setup. Need to see what the going rate is on those.

Turns out the gears were 3.70. Installed and 100 miles of goodness.
Anyone need some PBR Calipers and/or rear rotors?
