The driveshafts between an auto and manual are the same.

The drivelines in thirdgen are the same between a T5 and 700R4.... not the 200R4 or Th350(unless 9" tailshaft)

If Tony has dibs on it, it's cool.

Tony, are you dropping that in the GTA, or are you going to replace the one in the 6?

it's for the GTA. the v8 and v6 trannys are not bolt-on compatable (it can be done, but requires a custom clutch). also, kurfbird, does satarday work for you?

Rolling Eyes Couldn't find a 700R4 to swap in, apparently can't find a T-5/6 either. I'm seriously begining to doubt I'll get my car running by the end of summer.

Tony, when are you planning the swap? If it's soon, I might drive down there and lend a hand. I kinda want to see if pulling a T-5/6 swap in the IROC is something I could do myself.

i don't actualy have a plan for that yet. i would like to get a crossmember and tourque arm from spohn (so i can get the TQ arm off the tranny) 1st. but i am not sure. why, you want my old 700r4?

i would love, and could use all the help i can get. i realy have no idea what even needs to be done yet. i should probably start researching this swap.

I just bought a complete T5 swap in Portland for $100.Plus it came with extra's, like the whole running car. You needs to look harder.

I thought you only needed to swap crossmembers for a T-56. Confused

Barely enough room for my current two cars. No way I can get another one for parts. Bashy Bashy
