ok. in preperation for driving to gatherings this summer i am trying to make a CD of all fbody songs. mostly i am looking for songs that mention "Camaros" or "Firebird" specificaly. but i am willing to put on some songs that are just about driving/racing in genneral. so far i have the following

fbody specific:
song tittle........................................Artist
Trans Am (highway wonderland)...........sammy Hagar
Yellow Camaro..................................Weezer
What Car.........................................Cliff Richard (about stealing and wrecking his dads red camaro Rolling Eyes )
Smokey and the Bandit theme..............Jerry Reed

non fbody specific:
drag city...........................................Jan and dean
Shut Down.........................................Beach Boys (corvette)

if you guys can give me anymore i would realy appreciate it. internet searches yeld almost nothing since there is a band called "the Camaros" and a band called "trans Am". both of these bands seem to sing mostly about drugs, and not about cars. there is also a realy crappy niel diamond song called trans am. again, mostly about drugs. in this case a dealer who has a trans am with a busted headlight Rolling Eyes

But I guess on the expressway to 1400 posts you make a few mistakes, right?

Yeah I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Listen to Iron Maiden, baby...with me. Ooh.
Her boyfriend's a dick
He brings a gun to school
He'd simply kick my ass if he knew the truth.
He lives on my block
And he drives an iRoc
And he doesn't know who I am
And he doesn't give a damn about me
cuz I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby
Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby.
Listen to Iron Maiden, baby...with me. Ooh.
Ooh yeah...dirtbag.
.........omited

.... and he drives and i rock sound similar to me. debatable to be sure. after a few listens it sounds like IROC too me. but i leave this one to the philosaphers (sp?)

EDIT* duh. "fuel" by metalica. thats an awsome driving song. "give me fuel give me fire give me that which i desire!" video for that is prety red too if i remember

EDIT AGAIN* the quality is crap, but here is THE ONLY copy of the fuel video i can find http://www.gofish.com/userVideoPlayer.gfp?gfid=30-1023589

You found that off some random lyrics site.

This debate came up when the song came out, and we found the lyrics on teh official Wheatus website. Their site said "and I rock"

But it is a mute point. Wink

I couldn't find it on wheatus' website now.

Just as an example, THIS (pop-up warning), has it as "and I rock".

Most of the lyrics web pages for this song have "an IROC" as the lyric. But the lyrics sheet from the Wheatus CD have "And I rock."

Thunderkiss 65' is on my self made cd entitled "camaro songs"

Generally the CD is a bunch of 80's and some 90's songs. Mostly along the lines of straight ahead rock. Here's what's on the CD:

Rick Springfield---Jessy's Girl
Don Henley-----Boys of Summer
Toto--------Hold the Line
Van Halen---Jamie's crying
White zombie---Thunderkiss 65'
Aerosmith----Eat The Rich
The Cars----Who's gonna drive you home?
Judas Priest----Breakin The law
Metallica----Fuel
Cream---Born under a bad sign
Jimi Hendrix----Purple Haze
Ram Jam-----Black Betty
Tom Petty--Last Dance With Mary Jane
Tom Petty---American Girl
