Well took me long enough to get ahold of the dude making them because he seems alittle less than immediately enthused about emailing/PMing but I'm sure he's got his reasons. I'm content at least.

I found this on the counter.

A matching set! And even a tap to do the dirty work.

Now I can finally start bolting stuff together off the car, getting crap torqued down and ready for the wheels that are coming.

I think I got a decent deal on tires too. Bought 'em locally $1k out the door. "Free" mounting when I bring the wheels in. 285/35/18 and 295/35/18 for BFG KDW2's. Couldn't find much else in that size.

See, at least in my opinion "bling" impliess shiny chrome or some such nonsense. Polished aluminum is probably the farthest I'd go and now that I've though about it, not on this car. Maybe a shiny lip if I go to a lace style wheel later on.

And I'll definately not have them on by cows. Sad

Doing the brakes/wheels at the same time.

and yeah, goodpoint, bling does kinda imply chrome. 18"s are big pimpin, chrome or not. they will realy set the car off. now you just need paint and that thing will be primo on the outside. though i have prety bad paint and i still get compliments on the car. man, that thing is gonna turn heads. verts are awsomr enough, but a vert on huge wheels.... damn.

What size tires are you looking for? I got a set of Hankook Sport K104's, here localy for CHEAP, in a 255/45/17. So far I am very impressed with them, they grip in the wet very well, and stick in the dry.

Seriously though, do you have some cash to flash? Just walk into discount tire or something, talk about what they have, ask the guy to show you (if you go to the discount on 6th/pearl by hwy 16 ask for steve fryer; cool guy) and then tell him you'd like to get it for $XXX out the door. When I originally bought the nittos that are on my car now I did that. Ended up paying about $100 a tire mounted/balanced/warrantied.

I'm not sure about discount but firestone up here doesn't go for how much they make, they go for volume. So as long as they cover their asses with their own cost of the tire they're good.

At that same 6th/pearl discount tire my buddy steve (just ask some of the other crewbies about him, ha!) picked up four 35" BFGs for $450 out the door. I love that place.

I've not had any problems with them. 2.0 60ft's, Mike ran a 1.99 60ft.

Cheap, pretty durable so far. Had mine for 2 years now. Not a daily driver, but I bet I put as much wear on them if not more as a daily commuter would.

The kumhos would be fine allseason tires. I've driven through this last "winter" on my nittos and they faired great. Only problems was up steep hils right after it started raining and when I pushed the limits of what I should do in the rain. And even then it's very predictable.
