Folks up to the North. Mainly Canadian members. Some really good folks there and some of them post here as well. It was started by one of the original Cascade Crew guys. There was some sort of falling out between a few of the Admins in Cascade Crew. Not sure of the entire drama but too bad cause it created somewhat of a fracture. Probably something fairly petty, that seems to be what we humans put between ourselves. That was all happening about the time I showed up 5.5 years ago at the first dyno gathering.
Things seem to be picking up around here since other drama queens have left. Maybe people could resolve their differences : shrug :
This is an interesting format for a club because there are no officers/dues/etc. The success is largely based on people with a common interest helping each other out and being decent about it. The real fun starts when you can place faces with names so hopefully some of the folks that have just been participating on the board will be able to make a gathering or two this year. Having a gathering up in the Seattle area later this summer should help too. I still think that there are probably more people up there they just haven't got together as regular as the PDX/Vancouver peeps.

Yeah, Being one on those Canadians, I think one of the main issues is the distance of all of the events for us. I like coming out but I don't like driving 5 hours to do it. It would be the same if we hosted a gathering in Vancouver BC, we would get very little interest from down south. I know some of the guys from PNW3 and there great talented guys but there are issues and they won't come out with us. Another club is Vancouver F-bodies. Thats a whole group of guys that we never see.

I went up there. It was a blast. I'd go up again too. Crazy stuff - T-tops off with frost on the ground and of course Cheezy is always entertaining behind the wheel

I miss the canadian/american gatherings... last one we had was when lance and schultzy came up after that guy in the maroon TA flipped into a building or whatever...
Andy, Summer, Myself, Paul, Lance, Jess, Doug, Mike, shawn, don, rich ... other people... ... and we all ate at boston pizza at one point and lance had himself like 3 long island iced teas...
and at some point along the day Summer got rearended, then I left y'all in a parking lot to go see Andrew's sister _________________

| Don't forget a passport or some other proof of citizenship in order to come back across the border. I had a rough time a couple of years ago when I went across for the day. |

| I'm up for a BC trip. I've driven that pass so many times. I bet it'd be fun with a bunch of loud F-bodys through seattle tunnels and overpasses! |

They weren't the ones I had trouble with. Going north was no problem - Canadian Customs officers. Coming back through U.S. Customs was the hard part without proof of citizenship. |

Something like the start of 2007, you wont be able to cross into US boarders without a passport. |

That would have been the highlight of the last time you guys came up here.
If theres that much interest I can look into puting something together. Theres some great driving if we go up through the mountains.

Dan,
I just need ample warning of when it will be, driving up there and back, will probably require me taking a couple of day's off work. I just need to know so that I can get time off, and also make sure I have enough money to get up there and back. |
