as much as i would like to put a set on the V6 i would not be willing to put forth much cash to upgrade the brakes on THAT car. you can deffinatly get some bank for a complete setup on ebay. besides my aluminum drum setup is light as hell compared to those huge discs, and that things main purpose is gas mialage. in fact i am planning on doing some weight reduction once i get it back. i think i can pull almost 50LBS off of it without much effort, and still maintain a presentable intirior.

before somone asks, i am pulling the following:
rear seat (cloth)
AIR setup, including smog pump (all still functional on that car Rolling Eyes )
spare/jack
convert PPDU to "slammer". put PPDU in GTA Smile
remove radio and speakers.
switch to realy small windshield washer reservoir (it has a HUGE 4th gen one now)
switch to smaller/hidden coolant reservoir

i may also pull front bumper internals, as that car is prety much "tottled" if the windshield brakes.... not to mention that i can replace the entire front end for ~$300

sold it to a friend, his funding (girlfriend) decided not to come through, normally i never would have given anybody a car wothout money up front. but i have known this guy for three years. anyway, i have been trying to get him by phone for like two weeks to talk to him about it. finnaly gave up and left him a message three days ago telling him i wanted the car back. called him again yesterday. have not yet herd back. he was getting a new job (graveyard?) last time i spoke with him, could be the reason for the lack of communication, perhaps not. anyway if i don't hear back from him soon it's REPO time. Cool

PS anyone know how do disable the steering wheel lock on these w/o a key Very Happy ? it's a stick w/o vats. i can get in and hotwire it no problem, steering will be an issue. only has to go as far as a block or so to get on a car trailer.

i am realy hoping it won't come to this, but i am planning for the worst. plus i have secretly allways wanted to reposses a car. Twisted Evil

my plans for the car once i get it back are to put a new clutch in it and use it as my daily. 15MPG in the GTA with 3.30/gal gas prices are killing me.

I probably have a few tires around in various sizes. Dad even has a tire machine. I know last time we used the 14" rallies off my velle on everybodys car. They seemed to work.

Save those 14's for the drag strip Brandon, the hotter they got, the stickier they got. Laughing

alot. is that the only way? out of curiosity how would you do that anyway? chris and i tried to bust one at a junkyard once and were unable to do it.

i am planning on re-building a colum anyway (the original one from the 86, before i swapped it out) as a "learning experiance". but would rather do it as i get time, rather then right now.

i could always open it up put it in neutral, back it up, put a jack under the front wheels, move it 90 degrees and pull it onto the trailer and leave. then go buy a new lock cylander. (to re-key it)

If you guys have tires might as well bring em though. Doesnt take long to go through a set. The ones we used last year look like theyre made of canvas.

I still have your tires/wheels too Rod. All we need is lugnuts. Unless those are 14s.. then we can put em on the rallies.

If I go (which is looking questionable at this point)

I'll throw a tire in the back of my car so there will be an extra one.

I know these will clear front Disc's but I don't know about rear ones..

Don't think I need rear brakes at this point. I kind of like spinning tires on the starting line. lol

I don't have any junker tires. Sad

Want one paul? Got about 5 behind my garage. Family isn't too thrilled about them being there either. Sooner they're gone, the happier everyone is.

I have my spare set of Z/28 wheels/tires. so I'm not too worried about donating any rubber for roastage.
