so i recovered my headliner in preperation for putting in my modified roof console, which can be seen @ cows Very Happy . but once i pulled the headliner off i noticed some small bumps on the roof. they are about the size of pimples or chicken pocks or somthing. it took me a while to realise what they were... HAIL DAMAGE!!!!

but the roof looks fine on the outside... so whatever. just thought i would share.

That is a common issue for cars that come from the midwest. My Dad was a dealer, and we'd often go to the auction to fill out our used car fleet. You always had to check the roofs of midwest cars for hail damage--especially trucks b/c sometimes they wouldn't even fix those since people don't normally check the tops. Shocked also had to watch out for pineapple cars (Hawaiian cars) since they usually had rust and often cockroaches (or both). Laughing

oh.... you guys misundestand.. or i miss-stated. these are all less then 1/8th of an inch deep. therefor bondo is fine. trying to hammer them out would have caused more damage then it would have fixed. other then a roof transplant this was the only way to fix this.

i also figure this happened in the northwest as the damage is so light.. also my car is a "pineapple" car. no cockroaches.. no rust that i have found yet anyway Shocked

i will snap a picture tomorow so you all know what i am talking about.
