Just because you get a real job doesn't mean the Summer vacations go away Wink Just use the vacation time you get at the right time. I get 3 weeks per year and prefer to use most of it around Christmas time Very Happy

How close to the ferry terminal are you? It's 10 minutes for me on the Bremerton side.

Where is the planned gathering supposed to happen? Since the show is on Sunday and other events planned for Saturday, I may not have to take any time off from work and just meet up on Friday night.

Bump. Anyone local have some ideas? Lodging is also a logical question - with an estimation on how many crewbies would like to attend, we can figure out where people will stay.

An itinerary can then follow.

I am going to try to make it up for it. I'll probably show up either late friday (read: 11 or so), or saturday morning.

I'll probobly stuff a sleeping bag in the car and some extra clothes and show up after work. If need be, I can put up a couple, but that means a ferry ride to and from, which of course, means I'd come home Friday. I have car/driver ferry passes for when I drive across to work rather than vanpool ($9.00 each way as opposed to $14.10 each way at the booth) and access to monthly passenger passes, which are paid for.

The plan, however is to stay the weekend on the east side of the Sound.

There are lots of relatively inexpensive hotels in the area. I live in Lynnwood and would be willing to BBQ @ my house (with my wife's permission, of course), although I can't put anyone up.

ok sooo, like Mangus posted, how many people are we planning on seeing at this gathering.

for you portland and BC folks (all not coming from the greater Seattle area) do you plan on coming Friday or Saturday. If friday, then we need to plan something for that first night. The club hosting the pontiac show is having a lunch BBQ and cruise on saturday and I can email them to see if we all can go to that (how many of you pontiac owners plan on entering your car in to the actual show on sunday? anyone?). Saturday night, maybe a BBQ or something at Mangus' place...if its ok w/ his wife. Sunday, go to the show, and then people can head back after or do whatever.

i dont know, just a quick brainstorm.

my car is still broke, so i will probably have to ride w/ someone or something. maybe some of ya'll can help out for a bit while your up here. Smile

F

Wifey gave the go-ahead for a BBQ, so plan on that for Saturday (either lunch or dinner, depending on the goings on at the show itself).

Attendees so far:

Me
Miamivice
Iansane
Al
Dewey
Xophertony
83Z28BlackBetty
Shultzy
LB985IROC
Qausi-traction (?)

Let me know who I missed and I'll edit the list. If no one flakes, it should be a good-sized gathering.
