Yeah they messed that up. '85 Vin F was the better cammed 305 TPI. There is no TPI there. I can't imagine he would have swapped in a high compression 305 and ripped all the TPI stuff out.

Still say I shoulda bought it instead of these POS camaros I have..........probably would have just sat in the garage collecting dust and only driven it to Crew Events and the Track. 11:1 compression is not real street friendly.... only major thing I'd change was the transmission..
that 700 would have to go in favor of a TK0 500 or T56...

Rolling Eyes now I'm just daydreaming...

11:1 is just fine if the cam and quench are set to run 92 octane. Might have to drop a degree of timing or two which is no big deal.

by "street friendly" meant that pretty soon a 3rd gen will be my daily transportation....and having to run premium every fill up with prices climbing....wont be real helpful....besides I'm betting the thing only gets about 11-13mpg with the 3.73's and even a well tuned Q-jet...

Aren't overdrives great. This is actually as low as i've gotten with this motor. It actually did better in the truck with as much as 20mpg. My best with it was in a 68 chevelle, manual trans and 3.31's. It would pull 25 on the freeway.
