All my locks are broken (was like that when i bought the car) passenger side doesnt work at all, hatch doesnt even have one its just a hole. and the driver u Can use a key but u casn use a dime a small flat rock anything that can turn it. Anyways i was wondering if i could just swap locks and keys out easily, or do i have to have some special fancy locks that will cost me a ton. (And if i dont need fancy ones does anyone have any locks with keys send a tell or whatever) Thanks ( like always excuse my typing im horrible at it.

Door locks are ~17.99 I think at schmucks. I'm not sure about the hatch ones though.

If you pop off your door panel you'll see a U shaped clip that holds he locks in place, pop the lock rod and pull the clip and the cheap locks slide right out. Smile

I had the same problem with both my driver and pass door locks, where pretty much any GM door key if wore down enough could open my doors.

A cheaper alternative I found is to go to the junkard, snag a pair of locks off a camaro (along with the hatch lock if its there) take one lock to a locksmith and have them make a key (lots of good locksmiths can do this...) it only cost me like 12 bucks to have them do it.

Don't know about the hatch, but I pulled a drivers side cylinder out of an '84 Buick and it was an exact match, less the black paint.
