Once the clutch kit arrives things will really kick into gear. Got all the wiring finished up. Bypassed the reverse lockout, plugged the skip shift.

Test fitted the trans. Boy was that a PITA! My exhaust is in the way. I'll have to pull it to get the trans at the right angle when the clutch kit is in. Marked the hole with the trans up there.

Few loose ends to tie up. Starter/Relocate my siren (Was placed right where the clutch reservoir goes.

Check out the size of that pilot bushing!

Please excuse the mess. It will be cleaned. Just showing the pedals and wiring there finished, and the hole cut.

Clutch is in the mail!

Hopefully Ian will get the crossmember to me soon.

I'll be in business REAL soon!

Awesome Paully! That is the way the driver foot well is supposed to look. When you are done make sure that you get your 'shifting with flair' lessons from John. Laughing

It's very difficult to describe. Next time you see John ask him to demonstrate his technique.

come on..........you can have the best of both worlds with a good 6 speed in a 3rd gen. You can have great FD ratio in your low gears, (great for showing up your friends in Honda's and Acuras...) and great highway gears with the double overdrive, even with 3.73's or 4.11's in back.

And it handles better than a 4th gen!

indeed......something like a 57/43 F/R....(at least with the 2.8L) I think it was just over 60/40 with the V8 versions.

start with a V8 car first......better gear ratios on the T-5, and the Fuel lines are on a the passenger side, unlike the V6's on the driver's side. and V8 cars I think had better suspension from the factory....at least the Z/28 and 1LE and B4C pacakages.

moving the fuel lines would not be that hard... all this makes me wanna go 6spd. i need better highway mialage. i get 13-16 MPG now that i did headers. i think my driving style change affected this more then the headers themselves. i love to hear it wind up to 4K now. Very Happy

Both my 87's and my 91's fuel lines have been on the driver side....do you mean the opposite?
