Chris: See those two bars on the outside of the pedals that are bolted where the pivot bolt is? Each has a hole on the bottom that fits to the master clutch cylinder.
What kind of neutral safety switch did you converters use?
I've seen them that have the button like the brake one, and then I've seen a long rod that slides through the switch.
Brandon? Which is better?
One of the button ones at napa was like $36!
Bellhousing/Adapter/Flywheel/Clutch Fork on the way.
Need:
Clutch set
Hydraulics
Switchery
Pilot Bearing
T.O.Bearing
Fluids
Fab Crossmember.
Torque Arm Mount (John, did I get that torque arm mount back from you? I can't seem to find it in my garage.) |

I never put a nuetral safety switch in mine. I have other plans to use that wiring circut. Right now the two wires from the auto shifter are just wire nutted together.
BTW, your going to love driving that car alot more when you get done. Great job getting the parts rounded up. |

No NSS here either.
I still need to pick up one of those lower boots too...
Do you want my old xmember? It's red. Although it's shaved for more clearance and it's got an exhaust bracket welded onto it. Bastards... |

Was your X-Member fabed or did you buy it?
Who are the bastards?
I might like it to just check the actual height of the transmission and then refab mine as I built mine with a safety loop for the 700R4/TH350 combo so I planned to hack the loop off and attach it to what I make for the T56.
I could pay you for shipping to borrow it.
I've been checked almost every time at PIR for a NSS in the auto.
I just figure I should do it and be done with it. |

It was a spohn unit.
I just meant the exhaust shop that fabbed up I pipe and tucked up muffler setup. They welded to the xmember without checking with me.
It's a pretty heavy unit. When are you planning on fabbing the thing up? I drive down to Battle Ground every once in awhile. If not within a time frame I can always ship it to you to get some dimensions. You might take this opportunity to get rid of some of the bends in your duals. Run it straight down the tranny tunnel.
The 4thgen pedals I used had another hole in clutch bracket and it used a standard brakelight switch as the NSS. |

Lemme know when you head to BG I'm only a few minutes away and could meet you to pick it up.
My duals are just fine how they are lol. I'll also have the safety loop in there so it will be harder to run the duels down the middle, and to get them both to exit behind the car it will still have to go over the axle.
Also, I don't have long tube headers.
That's a way cracked out cross member! LOL But will locate the trans where it needs to be. Have had problems with vibrations and trans height since I put the TH350 in with the B&M Kit. |

That's the one I'm running right now, not the spohn one.
Spohn:
That's looking from the front and that left side came to me about ~2" lower. |

| Off-topic: Ian, what type of headers and Y-pipe are you running there? |

Oh those aren't mine. I've got the pimpin log manifolds.
That's how I'd like to run it though. I've got some hedman's and some extra piping that might eventually look like that. |

| I'd love to get a tucked up setup like that. Right now I have possibly the worst-designed Y-pipe (it's actually more of a dual T-pipe), and it hangs down pretty low. It doesn't often scrape, but it makes me nervous every time I hit a speed bump. |

Paul,
I think the ones on my V6 are a button style switch, but I"m not sure, I can check again if you like. When I get back to Portland (Out of town right now) I found a sweet GM only junkard just outside a town called Milano, off 213 about 10 miles south of Oregon City, and I was thinking of going back to there to see what kind of good 3rd gen F body finds there are down there. Anything you'd like me to pick up?
Ian,
Family called me and let me know your MO arrived on Tuesday, and so I can get everything boxed up and shipped out to you when I get back to Portland on Saturday (in Silverton right now).
I dug through my toolbox and found the fluid reservoir and bracket that attaches to the power brake booster, did you want that thrown in with your petal setup? _________________

Chris:
When I was at the JY pulling the extra bracketry and such, I grabbed one of the brake switches. The thread diameter on it, is much smaller than the holes on these pedals so I'll have to figure something out. Maybe just weld a nut on there and thread it through that. |

Paul,
That petal setup came out of an 89 RS with a 305. If I make it up to Milano, and can find several stick shift 3rd gens, I'll get under there and see if there's any difference in the thread diameter. _________________
