If it really is a Z28 it had TPI and has a fuel pump in the tank.
I had an '85 TPI. |

| Did they only use tpi in z28s? Up to 87 you could still get an lg4 in formies and ta's. Some 86's and all 87's got an intank pump even with the carberator though. In any case look at your vin code. 8th letter this will tell you which motor the car came with. |

one way to tell if you have an intank pump is look for the engine code on your vin number if its an 85 the 8th vin character wiuld be F for LB9 TPI unless the car was a v6 fuel injected ...........but i cant remeber that one off the top of my head _________________ Cadillac of Bellevue

uhhh.. so how about this. get under the car and see if it has a three wire or one wire connector going to the fuel pump. if it is three wire connector put battery hot to tan wire and see if the pump comes on. you can probably do this where the wire runs under the doorsill for easy access. or you can try and find the relay and put hot to the drk-green/white wire and use the relay to turn on the fuel pump. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).
