The problem was the inner tank fuel pump, and "Blue" has rejoined the living.

out of the block? ouch.
Have you got a torch ? I find that my MAPP gas torch helps me get bolts (amongst other things) out fairly easily once I get the right rythm down with it.
A trick I learned in autobody class... if you have a rusty, or just plain stuck bolt that's been sheered off and you want to make sure you dont bust an easy out on it, you take a torch, aim it at the bolt, once it gets glowing red (you'll know it) back off and let it cool for just a second, then put the torch back on it, and do that in cycles for a minute or two. Then try it and it should come right out.
I'm sure your bolt in the block is harder than anything I ever did in autobody class though |

the lamas problem is that the bolts have broken off inside of his block.
so they need to be drilled out.
so hopefully with paulys help and mine it will be up and running by noon saturday. |

I'm all about the square easy outs. That's how I got the headbolt out of my block! |
