OK about a month ago I posted about how i changed my spark plugs on my car it ran fine for about 10-15 minutes then it acted like it was running out fo gas (ironic i was otw to gas station) then all the sudden it died. So i ran up to shell got gas and put it in the car. nothign happened, So my dad and I checked and we werent getting any spark through any of the spark plug wires. Well now a had a friend come over and all the sudden we got a Spark (tiny one i dont know if it would be enough to do anything). still wont start so he checked cap and rotor said that he doubts it that but i should replace it anyways. He pulled one of my spark plugs out from the front of the engine And they were filled with gas all black and looked charred (remember these brand new plugs). im really stumped on what it could be and its REALLY important i get it running again, Because now that my apartment managers knwo its not running They're threatening to tow it. Any help is Greatly appreciated. (sorry for bad typing my fingers are retarded i think).

Well if the plugs are covered in gas i'd be looking at why you're not getting spark first. Did you swap carb/manifolds yet? I remember you posting about wanting to do that...

Coil? I forget if it's on the cap in '83.

The reason your plugs are fouled is because they were not heated up enough to burn the sh** off before it died.

If you still have the old parts, try re-using your old plugs and wires on the car. Might have gotten a defective item.

I havent put int he new carb and manifold yet i was pricing shops to do so but i think im gonna attempt it one day. I dont have my old plugs anymore. Should i try changing the distributor ( guy i bought new manifold n carb from threw it in) ? yeah managers here are a pain we been living here forever and they know the sitiaution on the car but they dont care. Car doesnt have flat tires doesnt look like it doesnt run because i sweep underneath it They just hate me i guess. because theres been TONs of other cars just sitting and they know about them not running.

as odd as this sounds its prejudice against f-bodys. there has been a pickup parked in a general space SINCE I MOVED HERE in october. no tow.

but if a firebird does not move... it's an eyesore. or if a camaro does not run... it's the whole redneck car thing. they think we are all ghetto because we drive fbodys. if they are not in the nicest condition they are "run down beaters" if they are two nice the are "drug cars" it sucks.

Was it a Ford pickup by any chance?......everyone knows those aren't supposed to run, they're just supposed to sit in your backyard and have weeds grow around/in them. Like a giant plant box!

My bother-in-law's Ford that I used for transportation during my engine swap had grass growing on the cowl in front of the windshield. And moss on the running boards. It sits 99% of the time.
