I have been looking at Blowers, something that sticks way out of the hood.
Detroit style
But I don't see anything that is non carbed, is there a way to go direct port injection, or Go throttle body on top of blower if you have to.
That would work on a 3rd gen camaro.
671 old school type roots blower, or similar.
??
Just a bit curious to see what’s out there, if there is?
Can't seem to find anything to look at except the Paxton type
Thanks

You could got TBI, there is a Holley 4bbl TBI kit.
Problem -- Getting two of them to work in conjuction would be interesting, so you would have to get a single carb intake on the blower. It also tops out at about 500-550hp.
I think I have seen port injected roots blowers in mags and stuff, but I really have no idea where they get them. If you are really wanting one, you would probably want to call BDS or one of the other large companies that sells them, and talk to them about options. |

Ya, I have never seen a blower set up, 671 with a direct port injection.
The Paxton’s and such do, but never the old school looks, with the monster sticking out of the hood.
More for looks, but 550 rwhp would be the limit that I think I would want on a pro street type car.
Be fun to drive.

A friend of mine has a ford F250 with a 460 in it, he's trying to do the same deal for the most part. It's fuel injected, and he wants to keep it that way, so what he thinks will be possible is to make two adapter brackets for the carb base bolt on, and then put two throttle bodies on it like LT1 style or such, and then link them together somehow so they both open up when you hit the throttle.
There'll be a heck of a lot of computer work to do though! |

Ya, that sounds possible.
I wonder if there is a manifold, or maybe modify one to put a fuel rail and injectors into the base of the intake or just go direct port into the heads?
I wonder how this would even be controlled,
I bet it would only take a few minutes to burn up pistons if it was running to lean.
using an o2 sensor maybe you could shut off fuel if it was lean. |

I dont know if your still looking into this but there are bug catcher injections that are electronic for blowers. Kinda spendy. They do work great and have the look of a fuel car.http://force-efi.com/bug16.htm
