Well, we are looking at this intake
we have the long runner tpi right now.

will it work with the heads I have as far as the bolt angles????

summit says it will need aluminum heads, Iam sure I have seen this on a 305 with out aluminum heads. see below

whats the deal?

Yeah, I don't have aluminum heads. Laughing

I'm not sure why that says you need them but the main thing I thought was a problem was the center four bolt hole angles. It's drilled for the pre-87 and 87 and later angles

You have the center bolt valve covers right?
What year is your engine, heads?
Did you have to drill this holes or oblong them?
Use tapered shims under the bolt heads?

Mine are the 87 ho 305 heads, should be the same as yours.
It looks like the center 4 bolts ate straight down in mine.
thanks

Engine is stock '91 vintage with the centerbolt heads. All '87 and up use the centerbolt heads with the angled bolt holes

I've got these that I picked up at tacoma screw for $2 a piece (better than the$70 versions holley was selling)

The holes in my manifold come oblong'd and you can used either those bevelled washers or not and it'll seal either way.
