So anyone else out there trying to get their car ready for the dyno gathering?

I am currently trying to finish up the exhaust (Hardcore Exhaust #003) which is going well although I may not be able to drive the car if road debris > 1/4" in height Shocked That is the 'breathe out' part of the equation. Already finished the 'breathe in' parts which consist of cold air intake and 58mm throttle body.

Also trying to get all of the piece parts together to re-install the nitrous on my car. I haven't had the juice functional on the 383 except for about 3-4 seconds which resulted in a very high 'clench-factor' Thumbs up

Tracked down a few minor annoyances... fixed a rattle in the driver side t-top (screw had come out of trim piece), fixed both outside mirrors so they don't rattle, replaced pass side door handle (spring had broke a few years ago - another rattle gone). Need to get her cleaned up so she is presentable.

What do you guys have going?

-Schultzy

I was there for those 4 seconds.... very high 'clench-factor'

Well, in typical fashion, just before dyno, i have problems.

Computer seems to have died, drove to work today in limp-home mode. Hopefully we will be running right by dyno.

Laughing You say sweet because you've only seen the passanger side. Laughing

I'm trying to get decent exhaust on my car right now. I'd like to slap on my longtubes but I don't know about routing until I can get a crossmember with divits in it (come on CheezX, where are ya!? Razz )

I seriously wish I knew how to weld myself. I've got MAC SFCs and a comp engineering 8 pt bar that've been sitting in my garage since last year... Maybe by dyno gathering '06. hehe

I am already for the dyno. Just put the twin turbo kit on my Rodeo. And threw an old ford 9'' in the back. I think it is in the high 11's now. We will see

Very Happy

I'm working on it! I got all the materials and the side brackets are done. Trying to get the curvey plates cut, Dan said when he tried with the torch he kept melting the pen marks away. Sad Embarassed

I'm looking at getting a 58mm TB. Other than that and a crossmember for myself too, no other mods for the dyno.

Mike, how much of a difference did you see when you did your 58mm?

It's hard to say Mike for two reasons...

1. It was only on there a short time before I rebuilt again

2. I only have like 120 or 130 miles on the rebuild and now it is up in the air getting the new exhaust on (will be done tonight Very Happy ).

Bottom line: haven't driven it that much. Also haven't hooked up the wide band and taken a look or done any additional tuning. SOTP says that there is an improvement but you know how butt dyno's lie Wink

Paully put a holley 58mm unit on his... maybe he will chime in with his impressions.

I can say that any of the guys that are running a similar combo to mine that have put down decent power numbers or decent E.T.'s all seem to have a 58mm TB.

So are you and Dan manufacturing K members?

No noticable difference. Did it because I'm "supposed to" at this level.
