Anybody else getting a ton of virus's every time you go to the forum index? I'm getting at least 3 every time the index pops up. Norton seems to be catching them anyway.

It just replaced critical system files with unrecognized versions so windows xp had to restore them off the disc

Ok guys, I should have gotten it off the main forum page, I'm still looking into the rest of the files, to see where it is. In the next little while, it should be safe.

If there are anymore alerts, please post right away, so either myself or Jess can look at it.

Jess... when you get a chance, can you hit me up on chat, I would like to take a look at some of the log files if we can get them, to try to figure out how the stuff got there. It was a pretty basic script, but the index.php file had been modified. I would imagine there will be something in one of the logs we can get from the hosting company.

Report this shizzle to the FBI if you can... I know that messageboard hacks are the new popular thing to do, because all you have to do is load it onto the main index page. And BAM, you can trojan yourself into like 300 users computers.

B/C forums are the one place people frequent daily, and never think of as a security risk

They fixed it Paul. It was kinda crappy.
