				| Would it be a horrible automotive sin to put a 350 in my 58 Ford pickup? My 390 block looks to be ruined and now I have no engine or tranny for my new project. Since I now have 3 extra 350's laying around plus a TH350 and TH400 it makes perfect sense to make a Chebby powered Furd, call it a Furdrolet.

				| I don't think so... it takes chevy power to move a ford right.. Besides from what I've seen at local car shows.. Chevrolet power is the power of choice in many custom rods... | |

				| I thought that was the only way to build a pre-60s ford?? Unless you go flathead.. but your trucks a bit too new for that. Do it! | |

 My sentiment exactly.

It is actually pretty rare to see old fords with ford motors.

				| My 59 f100 had a 270somthing (I think) V8 and I beat the hell out of both the engine and truck and they just keeped going. Wish I had them back. Thats what I would trade a sbc for. _________________

				| Now that I think about it , it was a 57, not 59. A low straight front axle with about 4" ground clearance. Faded red paint outside but the interior looked new except for the vicegrip as the window crank handle. Delux cab with a AM radio, one speaker. Chrome deep dish 15" rims, h78 snow tires. Bud beer tap handle for the shifter knob. In the early 70's it was a piece of junk, now I would treasure it. I wish I had pictures as my memeroy was slighty blurred during that time. _________________
