Nice Arcade, I was there when most of those games were released.
Hmm....go to college or go to the arcade..... Tilt !!!! Got any quarters dude?
A friend and I are considering opening up a place in Bellevue, this one here is a good example, I will let him know.
I have Data East's Time Machine in my den now, Its 1 quarter for 5 balls, no free games in my house
Trivia: What was the first talking pinball machine and who made it?
Bonus: What is a "magnasave"? _________________

Don, if you guys can get a line on a Corvette Pinball machine (even one needing some work) please let me know! I just can't afford the $1500+ that those on ebay are going for!

I think the first one was FIREPOWER (put a LOT of quarters in that machine!), I think that was a Williams machine wasn't it? I don't think it was Bally.
Magnasave was a drain saver! IIRC you could only activate it by dropping the fence targets, but when the ball was in danger of droppin thru the side gate (outside of the flipper chutes) the Magnasave would keep it from going the wrong direction.

:Now feels like CC elder:
That was quite the phenomenon. You youngsters take it all for granted now with your hippy PS/2's and your XBOX's and your PC and your interweb. Ima go play GT4 now

Don't see too many tape drives, 5 1/4" floppies or pre-MS equipment anymore.
| Schultzy89GTA wrote: | Ima go play GT4 now | Dude, I am so addicted to that game at the moment. I already have 3 Camaros, with another one on the way when I win the next race series! Yep, I'm a geek! |

1st Talking PB: Gorgar!
Good answer on the magnasave Poncho, I will keep an eye out for the vette pinball machine. Did I ever tell you your Vette is awesome? Very unique and timeless.
GT4 rocks, I used my $ from GT3 to buy some cool stuff. |

Thanks Don! I appreciate it! I bought her (her name is Lorelei, btw! Samantha named her! Song by Styx!) for my 40th bday and graduation from college present to myself! Haven't been able to enjoy her nearly as much as I was hoping, but so far, so good!
Thanks also for keeping an eye out for the machine for me! I've been wanting one for a long time now! I used to play one at this bar I went to all the time in San Diego (typical Pilipina bar!) Loved the game! I can't believe I remembered what a Magnasave was! That's unreal! What game was that on?
What is this "GT4" thing that you guys are talking about?
I'm guessing it's a video game, which explains why I don't know anything about it! I can't play those worth diddly-squat, so I don't bother! Don't even own a single game! I can think of thousands of things better to do than play those.

No prob!! Anytime!!
(personally I would rather have a
or
and a carnitas burrito from Roberto's!!)
I tried playing PacMan a few times when it first came out. Never got it. Never got into any of the video games, so I never got the skills needed to do well. Consequently, I don't play any of them. It was just too "programmed"! I always would rather play an "unpredictable" game (like pinball or other such) that didn't depend on any type of pattern.

I still remember using the punchcard-driven computer (computing machine to be more accurate) while doing astronomy stuff at UO's observatory many years ago. |

| I was one of the dumb ones who paid over $600 for a "double density, double sided, double speed" 5 1/4" Indus GT floppy drive. For my Atari computer no less. But it was such a step up from the cassette drive that took 20 minutes to load a program. And then only to crash on the last seconds worth of info. So you try it again. |

I already have the 2000 production car and the IROC concept as well.
It looks like there are half a dozen or so crewbies who have it, judging from responses to this topic. I'd love to play it online, that would rock! I thought you could only play over a LAN. I have DSL so I have the speed to do it, what's the trick? |

| theres a program you download and it tricks your ps2 into thinkin its a lan game but you can play with anyone. i used the 2002 ss and did some mods to it to get the LM. then afterwards i deleted the trophys and raced again so i could get another one. they sell for 200000. easy way to make some money. |

Sweet! Ima try it out. Yeah the '00 SS is pretty good, but for easy money I use a modded '89 300ZX to race the Japan championship. 5 races, $7,500 for winning each one, $35,000 and a $380,000 car (2002 350Z LM race car concept) for winning the series. You get the car every time. |
