Can't seem to get a straight answer on this, but what transmission fluid should I use in my nwc T-5? Gear oil or ATF? |

There never seems to be a straight answer on the internets.
Your transmission should have a tag on the side specifying which fluid it takes, that is the way to know for sure.
That said, I am pretty sure they all take ATF. |

They have a small pump made of plastic. Thirdgen T5 uses ATF due to clearances. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I've always run parts store ATF without any issues, including running it in old S10 T5's. |

I had a synthetic ATF in my T5 with a bottle of Lucus Auto trans additive. Stuffs thick like 90wt . Right or wrong it survived many years of abuse |
