Well, in a way it did follow me home; The previous owner followed me after we signed the papers. I bought an '85 2wd Chevy Suburban for $800. It was originally equipped with a 350/700R4 combo, but now has a 350/TH350 combo "from a Monte Carlo". It still retains the original 3.73 10-bolt. It's blue exterior with blue cloth interior. Front bucket seats and folding center and rear bench seats. It runs and drives great. One of the reasons I bought it is that a co-worker (the guy I bought it from) needed the money to buy a wedding ring. The other is that my little sister (17 years old) needs something to drive now that she is going to get her license; So I'm gonna temporarily give it to her to drive.
I definately think $800 was a very good price for it.

Yup, my three other sisters, 1 brother, and myself all learned to drive with and had a full-size truck as our first car. My sisters and brother had a '65 C-10 on 31x10.50's. I had a '76 C-10 (some of the members saw this truck at PIR once, primered black w/ red flames). My little sister did just fine driving the '76 when we still had it. And the suburban was cheap to buy. She already knows that if she wrecks it or break something, she'll be paying to have it fixed.

| I think it's a good idea to learn with a larger vehicle.. makes driving anything else easy.. I learned to parallel park with a 'boat' of a car.. So if you can park that thing, you can park almost anything. |

Own a 1985 black Suburban. They can diffently take a licking. Got into a fender bender in So Dakota and. There was probably over 2500 dollars to the other car. I only had some black rubber come off. _________________ kurfbird
