Hey guys here is a short video of my Firebird Drifting in the Rain, at
Yakima Speedway back in may. I was the only Muscle Car out, i had a
good time. drifting in the rain on a greasy track is hard! So far this year i
have run my 1991 L03 T5 Firebird around Yakima speedway's circle track,
renegade raceway's drag strip, and Pacific raceways road course. Ive
Driven to and from all these events, and am on a tight budget, the car is
mostly stock, but ive run this car all out every event, and its gotten me
there and back everytime. i added a vid coming out of turn 8 at pacific raceways as well. I love my Thirdgen! hope you like the vids.

Looks good. How did the car handle sideways? Mine feels really dull.

It felt good, you can't get too much angle drifting at higher speeds in third gear without spinning out, at least compared to the 240sx's and corollas that were out there, but all 2nd gear drifting got me grinning from ear to ear. Its just less....intense and more fun. It was good practice I got good at pullin 360 spins after id blow 3rd gear drifts.

thats part of the game lol ive never run a track with that small of a gap though, we used to drop cones off of a truck down in az

ive drifted mine a few times but i was being very nice to it because i was about 3 hours south from home and my tires were already iffy

good job on the drifts lol these cars are a PITA to handle like a 240 or an rx7 but once you get it down you feel great lol

Once you hit a few walls the fear wears off. Hehe. I think there is a vid somewhere of me hitting Monroe Speedway.

If you want more angle you can do it. Just need to extend your arms and cut the spindle. I saw a link somewhere of someone using a Jeep Cherokee steering box but i just can't think of where.

I didn't remember yet, but I saw this cool article and thought I'd post it. I'm excited someone else is up for some sideways action.

Once I get mine handling transients throttle better I'll be going at it. Plus it seems I have a dragging driver caliper.

Dai Yoshihara's car is sick! LS1+240 he won D1 in seattle this year. there is a 3rdgen drifter on the east coast that modded his steering box for more angle. he has the best 3rdgen drift car ive ever seen. heres a link to his vid.

Sweet! What is he running? Sounds smooth and high revving.
