The ZR1 put down 440HP 368TQ, Marv put down I think 268HP & 368TQ, the Vette was pretty unimpressive for an LS1. One of the numbers was 287, don't quite recall if it was the HP or TQ number, but I'm pretty sure both were below 290. _________________ '88 Formula

Fairly standard 'rule of thumb' is 20% drive train loss for auto and 15% loss for standard but of course there are a lot of variables at work combo to combo.

-Schultzy | ehh just figure 20% ... the number is fairly close to accurate. _________________

the zr1 was 427 hp and i think 580 ft lb of torque. 580 may be shoooting high but it was in the 500's.
the 2004 vette was... err 360 hp? _________________ 1990 Camaro RS, Black w/ Red Int, V6 3.1L, Auto, T-Tops. |

Don't go second guessing Jess's memory. He's like Rain man when it comes to numbers.
580 ft lbs for the ZR1 is way too high. |

I'm sure the ZR1 was only 368 on the torque because I remember telling cheesy that he had more.

Dan nailed it on the zr1... he had higher hp than I did but less torque NA. That thing is a pretty awesome machine though. Sounded like it just kept opening up the higher RPM he went.
lol @ rainman Jess... the dude could quote everyones numbers exactly.
uh-oh time for Wopner!

Jess needs a Portland phone book to read and memorize at Cows this year. Then Paul won't have to get put on hold when calling information anymore. |

It is pretty sad when we are unimpressed with almost 290 to the wheels. and in a car as pretty as a C5.
I'm always impressed with the C5's, no matter what they put down, the sound the make in the upper RPMs is music to my ears. |
