My '85 Suburban---- 163hp and 265ft-lbs. I was only expecting about 130hp out of it.

On our way to Shari's for lunch I got a call from a friend that I could go pick up a TH350 as a replacement for my suburban. Basically I was told "come get it now or it's gone". So I did that and met back up with everybody else at PIR when I was finished.
I will tell you one thing, somebody went beyond 550 rear wheel ft-lbs.
I've got work in less than 5 hours... should be interesting.

Jetted for 150hp but AFR went > 10:1 by 4400 RPM so I need to go bigger on the n2o jets or smaller on the fuel jets.
It was the first time that I had actually tried the nitrous system on the new combo. Finished hooking everything up after 7 PM Friday night and it has been pouring up here so didn't test it out on the road. In retrospect that was probably a good idea .

WoW, those are some big numbers there Schultz. Sounds like the birdy is finally running good.
What were the rest of the numbers for everyone and Q/M times? Was really wanting to be there to hang out with everyone, both wife and son were not feeling too good so family came first. _________________ Wife: The smellier the car is, the faster it goes right? |

303 hp
319 ft/lbs
Valves float at 5600 and the dyno guy runs away scared.
I think my best quarter was 13.5 @ 104 mph but traction was horrible. |

Mar, specs are in the member's rides. Power died off at 4800rpm Schultzy pointed out that normally the LTR setups peak early and gradually drop off. Mine really died off quick, there very well may be some other factors than the intake.
Project_1986_TA, whereabouts on I5? It was a 6 hour drive, lol. Did you see Dan's white Z28 vert too? He should have been right in front or behind. |

Cheezy,
My comment pertained to the highly modified LTR setups like yours (i.e. larger base, larger runners, ported plenum) that I have seen dyno results for. They tend to hit peak hp and hold. Stock TPI crashes against the 4800 wall and plummets quick.
As an aside, does anyone who was at the dyno remember exactly what the non members put down? I don't want to misrepresent but there was the 04 vette, zr1 vette and Marv's 427BBC Camaro.
