Firebird? This is what I'm missing in my garage. '33 with full fenders. Too bad they don't set it up for a real engine. Nobody wants a 4.6L Ford for a custom.

Yes, it does. GTM is basically a Corvette with a body kit.

The '33 was made around the 4.6L modular. Can't figure out why the heck they did that because you don't need a whole donor Mustang like you do for the Cobra kit car. If they made it compatible with the new Ford 5.0L I might think about it. It would be a lot of fun building it, and I can definitely see myself driving it!

Laughing While it uses a TON of vette parts I'd hardly call a mid engine low slung beast like the GTM a 'vette with a bodykit.

That '33 should be setup to take an LSx, IMO. Very Happy Does the 5.0 use different mounts? I know there are already guys replacing their 4.6s in sn95 mustangs with the 5.0. I think there is even a fox body getting the heart transplant.

As anything else. You can cut the motor mounts off, put your own on and put whatever engine you want in it. Very Happy

I want to build something like that. Should be fairly cheap, right?

$20K for the base kit. Realistically, $35 - $40K by the time it is done.
