Hello, Gents! It's been a long time since I visited this neck of the woods. First of all I want to say hi to all my friends! Shultzty! How is that Tremec working out? Dewey! Did you ever get fuel injection on your car?
Okay, I will admit I have an agenda here. Three years after moving to Illinois my '89 Firebird is still sitting in my folks' garage. I think I have to face the facts and admit it's not coming to Illinois. I want to know if anybody wants to buy it? I'm asking you guys first before I advertise because I think the car needs to go to someone who will really appreciate and care for it. Not some hot shot with no sense.
The car is still the same as when I left. Not running. Mostly finished but needs some parts and labor. Big block. Supercharged. Beautiful.

no big TB yet on my car, I will likely end up going MPFI of some sort, the plans for the car have changed since we talked last. (EDIT) of course, IIRC your system has the big injectors, and a 2 bar MAP... hmmm.... although Fixing the audi, and just buying stuff for the camaro, i'm broke as a joke.
Man, I really wish I had the money for you car, but knowing whats in it, there is no way I could think about it.
Hopefully whoever buys it, will take great care of it. It is such a great car! |

Damn, ever since I first saw your car I loved it. Especially with the roh's and long tubes discreetly showing form underneath. Definately a beautiful car and worth whatever you're asking. I wish I wasn't a broke college bum. I'd drop the cash immediately. _________________

Hey Jon, good to 'hear' from you. Hope that you and your bride are doing well. The TKO has worked out beautifully and all is well.
I doubt that I would be able to buy your car anytime soon but if I was going to have another red firebird that would be the one to have. You might want to post up the specs and a few pics for some of the new guys. What kind of asking price are you talking about?
Let us know what is going on with you man. Last I remember you had a c4 vette that you were playing with.

Hey, Poncho! Still with CAT. Great place to work. They are hiring in Electronic and Electrical Components right now (where I work). You would have to move to Peoria, IL though.
Schultz, I don't have the '94 Vette convertible any more. I'm married and driving an Aurora. Probably the way it's going to be for a long time!
I don't have any fresh pictures. Just the same old ones from the last couple years. Some specs are below. I can’t remember everything on the car any more. I also have a 4th gen TransAm center console. The car has a custom lacquer paint job with clear coat and dark tinted windows with receipt to prove date (so you stay legal).
Kenny Brown competition suspension. Adjustable rear control arms. Adjustable panhard rod. All are spherical rod ends. Kenny Brown subframe connectors. Spohn competition adjustable torque arm with integral transmission crossmember. PA Racing chromoly tubular front crossmember. Global West steering box brace.
Suspension Techniques drop springs and sway bars. Rear springs are variable rate. Poly bushings in front a-arms. Also have a set of PA Racing coil over suspension for the front with big block drag race springs. Shocks are a custom matched set from Ground Control Racing. Front shocks are Bilstien sports and the rear shocks are Koni adjustables. ROH RT wheels. 17x9 with 5 inch backspacing. Nitto 555, 245/45-R17 front. 555R drag radial, 275/40-R17 rear.
Strange Engineering 12 bolt rear with 3.73 gears, SS axles, SuperPosi, and Corvette disc brakes. Custom built TH400 transmission with kevlar clutches. TCI anti-ballooning torque converter with 2800 stall speed.
MSD 6AL BTM (boost timing master) timing box with in-cab adjustable timing adjuster. Moline 3 core radiator.
Chevy 454 big block bored out to 468. LS6 forged rods, LS7 (I think) forged crank, TRW forged flat top pistons. 9:1 compression??? Mildly ported iron oval port heads. Manley valves. Large rocker studs and oversized push rods. Crane aluminum 1.7 roller rockers. Crower blower cam. ARP bolts throughout engine. Fluidampr harmonic balancer. Moroso deep sump oil pan. Polished B&M 177 roots supercharger. SFI approved flex plate.
And of course, don't forget the custom made Lemons tri-Y headers. 2-1/8 inch primaries. Medium length. Dumps right next to the transmission pan.

I think somewhere in the $14K range. This is just a number I'm throwing out. If you have cash we can work a deal. There is a lot of money sitting in that car. And it's in near perfect condition, too. I've had the car for 13 years and it's been garaged the entire time. It hasn't even been driven for 6 or 7 years.
There's more to this car then I mentioned above. For example, I had a friend with a wave form generator and we custom calibrated the V6 tachnometer for a V8 engine from 100 rpm to 8000 rpm.
I also stripped out every unnecessary wire from the engine bay (no computer any more), rerouted all the wiring for V8 configuration, and rebunded all the wires in stacked layers that don't criss-cross and zip tied them every 6 inches or so. Then I put all the wire bundles in corrigated tubing to protect them. Now I'll admit I haven't hooked up a battery yet. Likelihood is I made a few mistakes but nothing that can't be fixed. |

Well guys I have done the math.
We currently have 103 reg. users. Minus Jon, that is 102.
So... for a mear $137 a peice. We could have a cascade crew theme car.
(I'm trying my hardest to keep this car in the crew Jon. ) |

If I could have a Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a little over a Benjamin I'd do it. The next in line might not be so happy! |
