... Inside my Firebird, that is. Wink It's not complete, but the interior is starting to look like an interior again.

The good thing is that I didn't have to replace the door panels. It's literally the only cloth material that I salvaged from the mice infestation. Every last piece of interior has been washed and disinfected. All the carpet is new. I'm going to buy material at the fabric store for the headliner and speaker covers.

I think for the next step I'm pulling the engine and tranny for inspection. Everything has been sitting around for 12 years and I don't want to lose the whole thing over something stupid.

I'm just doing the cheap stuff for now. I can tinker on that interior for a long time and not spend any money. Keeps me entertained enough for now.

Most the interior is done now. I still have to do the head liner and speaker covers, and I'm missing the left rear seatbelt because it needs to be replaced. Good news is that I powered up the seats with a battery and both work.

I also found a Lokar shifter for a TH400 that I think will bolt right in and looks just like a manual shifter. I can get it in chrome or black (I'll be getting black), so I may have solved my age old problem of how do I put an auto shifter in without a big dorky aftermarket piece poking out of the center console.
