John, Aaron, and I finally got the 86 TA running, but ran into a couple of problems...that electric fan is hanging up and the pressurized fuel lines dry rotted and startd dumping gas on the ground. I did get to drive it up the street and back and John backed it out of the driveway (that's when i noticed something leaking and Aaron confirmed it was gas) and back into the driveway. Anyways, it does run. _________________

Sucks that the fuel line let go right before I got to take it on its official maiden voyage! Glad you spotted the fuel spill or Aaron and I might have been toast! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Yeah, Ian's old 305 runs good! Once Aaron ironed out a few wrinkles for us that is. Fuel line will be simple to swap out and then she'll be ready to roll!
I got to see the dash all lit up for the first time tonight. Man that thing is beautiful! I've always had Camaros so I never realized how much better 'Bird instrument panels looked, particularly all lit up! |

Here is a crappy cell phone pic of Aaron attempting to divert the fuel away from the hot headers (and avoid bursting into flames himself!)

Hehe... big block mountain man makes an appearance under the hood of a small block Trans Am.
And in typical fashion, fire danger is imminent. |

She runs and I have driven her finally!
James took the hose to her today.

I must've missed this post before? That looks like it still has flat tires! What happened to the two I gave you?!
Good to hear it's almost rolling! _________________

Holy crap! Sucked trying to make that 3 point turn!
And yeah Ian, those tires are working out great! One of them is mounted on a Camaro wheel (as in the pic), gotta fix that soon. I think the high front end stance makes it look like the rears are flat. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
