Since I had the interior done, and have taken a few pics, I realized that I have to change out the seat belts!
The stock ones are beat, and I am looking to go to black, front and back.
If anyone has a lead on a source please hook me up!!
I am looking for new, or if used in the condition of Holy Immaculacy!
Black is the color, it will really look good with the interior, the backs are perfect
But wont match, but I am in a serious quest for the fronts.
Thanks,
Jones’n Junkie! _________________

You may want to check out Hawks. That's where I got my seat covers. They carry new and used parts, you might have to give them a call for special items/colors.

You might want to consider 4th gen front belts. Pretty easy upgrade and only one retractor to deal with.
They are plentiful in the yards. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

Am I in a very small minority that loves the dual-retractor belts? What's the big deal about switching to the fourthgen style? The dual retractors have a stylish buckle arrangement, they are functional, self-adjusting, and they confuse my friends. What's not to like? To me they are part of what makes my thirdgen unique.
Rich, I'd say your best bet is to call Hawk's Thirdgen and also keep a close eye on Thirdgen.org for people parting out low-mile black interior cars.
Just don't settle for anything but the best, because the search will be worth it when you find what you are looking for. It may take a little while. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

The belts in my car are out of a 01 maro. So 9 years old verses 23 years old. I could never find a good left 3rd gen belt in black that wasn't trashed or worked properly. On the 82 3rd gens there was only one retractor and then in 83 they switched to the dual retractor setup. Then the 4th gens went back to a single retractor. With two retractors there is double the chance for failure. In a crash you have to rely on two retractors working, nut just one. So in my mind I feel safer relying on one 9 year old single retractor, rather than two 23 year old retractors. And my setup looks totally stock. If you didn't know the difference you could never tell it wasn't and OEM setup.
Anyway just my opinion, take it or leave it.

No worries man, just wondering if anyone else prefers the old style. Thanks for your opinion and good reasoning.
I know all about the 4thgen belts and '82 trim piece and everything looking absolutely factory. I suppose a big part of my opinion on the matter is that my car just rolled over 100,000 largely well-taken care of miles and all 4 of my retractors work flawlessly and the belts are in immaculate shape. I could see the age of the hardware being a problem in finding safe and well-working belts, but until mine start acting funny I'll leave them in the car. I love them as they are right now, and don't feel any less safe in my mind than with a newer belt.
Rock on. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

You can also modify the 3rd gen sill plates by using another sill plate of the same color to cover the hole left by the old retractor. A guy on TGO did it and they looked great. The 82 sills are very hard to find anymore. I got lucky and found two sets. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

| I dont think it would be to difficult to get the 82 sill plate if you were will to die them black or grey. |

Alloy was right, there are lots of 4th gen belt sets out there, and I am still looking at options.
91camaro may have the key! But the 4th gen setup sounds really interesting! _________________
