I think I need a purple fedora.. with a feather.. Laughing A long time customer came to the shop and gave me a deal I couldnt refuse. A really nice 97 cadillac STS. Northstar, traction control, electronic suspension, leather, 12 disc changer, heated seats, brand new toyos, and a new car cover.. you name it, it has it. Got a few minor issues to iron out- new battery, power hatch pull down, and a bad electronic strut, then I'll be putting this up for sale. Got too many cars or I'd really think bout keeping it.

Is it the baby 4.6 Northstar, or the good one?

Those cars are pimp either way. Great ride, great seats, and you can light up the front tires like that. Very Happy

The 4.6 is the big one. Being an STS it has the 300hp instead of the 275. The baby northstar you're thinking of is probably the olds.. it was a 4.0l or maybe you were just talking hp?

Anyway, you can see the only ding in the whole car is right next to the trunk. And in the first pic Hannah says it's TASTY! Laughing

Doh! I was thinking of the old 4.6/4.9L motors they had in the early 90's. You are correct that the Northstar only came in the 4.6 Caddy and 4.0L olds versions.

But if you're selling it... it's not really you....

Wish I could nab one of the 2 northstar motors we have crated in the shop sitting collecting dust....

It's the new me for a short time anyway.. Hopefully a real short time. Was afraid the guy I got it from would be upset bout me selling, but he even mentioned I should do it if I wanted. He really gave me a sweet deal.

My mom had an '89 Cadillac Sedan Deville with the 4.5L. It only made 155hp but it felt more powerful than that. I used to tease her that my Camaro was cooler 'cause I has .5 more liters than her! Very Happy

That thing looks pretty good!

Have fun with that electric strut. You're just going to replace with a non electric one?

Nice ride man. I really liked those rides in the 90's and wouldnt mind having one for my wife to daily drive. They have some tourqe steer but handle well and have some power. I wounder how the drivetrain would handle a SC?
