So I head out to the lovely little Isle of Fox for seats on Saturday with 100.00 dollars in my pocket. 60.00 for seats and forty for gas and lunch. I'm cruising down the road minding my own business justa jammin some Wayne Newton and enjoying the liquid sunshine when all of a sudden I remember that my ins. is expired by two weeks. Now I know what you're asking, 'Why would you be thinking about insurance with the mighty Wayne Newton playing?' Well to be honest I wasn't exactly. You see I didn't give it single thought till after I blew by the stater at 78 mph. Now he did cut me a break based on sheer stupidity I think, I mean who else would pass one at 78 with no valid ins. so he only wrote me up for 75 in a 60 and no ins of course. Gee thanks.
So my 60 dollar seats wound up costing me 795.00 But as if that weren't enough when I get home my wife decides she wants to go to the Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma. With all five of us. 250 miles round trip and another hundred bucks for dinner Then of course renewing the ins. Another 55.00.
I know, I can hear the questions, 'why didn't you renew...' well its because I have all my Ins. crap I.E. bills Emailed to me while the monthly premium is automatically withdrawn. So the notice was undeniably emailed to me and I must have deleted it without opening thinking it was spam. I deserved it But last time I blew a grand in one day I enjoyed it. . . _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

That sucks man. Could have been worse though, they could have impounded your car, for driving without proof of insurance, when you had valid insurance the whole time, but just forgot to put the new insurance card in your car.
ask me how I know. |

Bring current proof of insurance to court and it will get drop or significantly reduced. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Not sure about your county, but in Clark County here... you get two choices to see the judge. The basic go in and defend yourself has to convince the judge you didn't do it period. The other is an automatic admittance of fault, however you get to explain the circumstances and they take your record into account. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I know, I will do all that and it should get reduced a bit. The real kicker for me on Saturday though was going back to Tacoma for dinner. its 125 miles one way and after the day I already had I can't tell you how bad I didn't want to go. Oh well the lasagna was good and the seats look great. New carpet, new headliner, newer looking back seats and new seat covers for the front, things are starting to look good on the inside anyway this summer I will do the minor body work I need to do and shop around for the best paint job you can get in the 1000 to 1500 range. If I can get those things done this year then next year I will start looking at dropping in a thirty two dollar 327. Ok kidding about that, next year I'd like to start collecting parts to build a 383. But first I gotta stop feeding the state. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

My father does paint jobs for people in the range you're looking at that look like this:
Just sayin'. He likes to paint things. If you're serious, I'm sure he'd like to paint your car this summer. Or whenever.
