No doubt... Was at dad's last night for christmas dinner. Bunch of company over. Phone rang. One couple had to leave so that the woman could take over at work. The mother of the person working was being taken to the hospital in the ambulance. An hour or 2 later even more good news. First a phone call from the police. Seems my youngest brothers wife picked christmas eve as the day file for divorce. They were looking for Brian to serve him papers. Well we all knew that was coming.. just a hell of a time to pick to do it. A little while later, another phone call, Brian's new girlfriend, seems they got stopped in Longview. Brian was dragged outa the car, thrown onto the police car and arrested. Not only did she file papers, she filed charges against him for abuse, and unlawful inprisonment. Some incident back in June, I guess. Got a girlfriend of hers to sign as a witness. (theyve been together since then, but guess that doesnt matter).. No idea how much of this actually happened but doesnt matter. Holiday weekend. $25k bail. He's locked up at least until Monday. So much for having the kids for part of the christmas weekend.
So yes everybody, be very glad you're at home with family and friends, enjoying the holidays. Theres much worse places to be. |

Wow B, some of that really puts things in perspective.
Anywho... Got a Dell Digital Jukebox (like the ipod mini) from the wife and kids. Oldest boy got me and TC an Olive Garden Gift Certificate, Movie passes and a 1 time babysitting coupon What a great kid!
Also had a very relaxing day with just my family, TC made an awesome ham dinner and also a nice breakfast (pepper bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy). Kids seem to be pretty happy with their goodies. TC seems pretty happy with what i gave her too.
Merry Christmas

The other end is a marlinspike, for working rope and line, or for tightening/loosening the shackle on the end of the line. I guess it is on the end of a wrench because the tool-wielder would also need to tighten/loosen the other fittings on the end of the line, like turnbuckles.
I take paypal!

Close but no cigar :p
It is used to align bolt holes on structural steel. Back in the day I used to erect steel buildings, the highlight being when I assembled a crew to build the worlds largest Nissan dealership. Anyway some of those tools were stolen by my father in law so my wife wanted to replace them.
PS: The first batch of "West Coast Pale Ale" has begun |
