To the fiancee, it's good you're amongst friends and in a familiar place.
I didn't know Aaron, but it's sad to hear of someone in this community passing.

Wow. My brother told me what happened and I am so sorry to hear this. I had spoken to Aaron here and there over the past few years. Your family is in my thoughts. |

I wanted to share the Memorial Service information. It would be wonderful if any of you could make it. I am being told it will be more of an interactive event rather than a sit down and listen and watch gathering.
Per Marisue:
Memorial information
Date:
Saturday, January 23, 2010
Time:
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Location:
Monroe Community Chapel, 23515 Old Owen Road, Monroe, WA |

An addendum to the memorial. It will be held in the Chapel's gymnasium, as Aaron wasn't a big fan of anything religious. We do indeed intend on this being more interactive. We don't want it to be stuffy and rigid. Come dressed comfortably, bring pictures, bring memories. I hope to see you all there. |

I wish I could make it, but I can't sneak out of Afghanistan.. although I'm sure Aaron would have told me too!
I'll always keep Aaron in my thoughts. |

Since it is an informal memorial (which certianly does fit Aaron), is there something that those of us who won't be able to make it, be able to send?
Would flowers from the group of us still be appropriate?
Thanks,
John |

Flowers are always welcome, cards, anything like that. Although, I know there is a paypal account and a bank account open for donations to help offset the cost of Aaron's death (cremation and debt) if you feel comfortable donating.
If the preference is to donate, I believe there is a link in this thread for the paypal account, Marisue his mother opened an account with Chase last week for donations, I'd have to get more information on how to donate to it.
I can supply addresses as well if the decision is flowers or cards. Thoughts are also greatly appreciated, don't forget him. He lives that way, through us and our thoughts and memories.
Thank you, each and every one of you for being great friends to him, and being supportive to us. |
