Very tactful, yes.
To the moron's credit, the Spohn unit would probably work better upside down. I had Ian's old unit in my car; he drug it over everything, and so did I. I debated clearancing it, but decided it would weaken it too much. |

I have the exact same unit on my car (but it's black.......sorry Mike) and I rounded the corners a bit and I hit other things like my SFC's way before I hit the cross member. There is just only so much you can do with a cross member torque arm and a T56 setup.
The guy doesn't realize how much fun he's in for making the cross member fit with the the Alston's SFC's in his pics. Been there.............not fun. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

What dan said. Something as beefy it just sits lower. It's not aweful and it's really not much lower than factory.
Love people who bitch about the aftermarket when they're dumb. THEN the guy who jumps on the bandwagon confirming the company sucks.... just further validates the world is full of stupid people.

Few things I dislike about spohn crossmember(for a t5/r4). But ground clearance is the least of my concerns and I'm lowered.
Been trying to think of a way to redesign it and still use the arm itself. |

on the subject, I'm even amazed how much lower my T5's scattershield sits than the stock bellhousing. Oh well, keeping the lower appendages safe is always good.

Just takes a lot of trimming to clear the Alston's. Nothing that's to difficult really. But I can't wait to see what the guy says about this part of the job. Did know you put that on already! Any trouble dialing in the bellhousing sweap to .005 runout? _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
